Piano and Vocal Tutoring

Service Description

Learn a variety of skills in the Performing Arts with my personalised vocal and piano lessons. 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour sessions: These lessons offer guidance to enhance your child's musical knowledge, confidence, improvisation skills, aural skills, instrumental techniques, coordination, stage presence, and performance skills. Each week, we will explore a practical skill, an aural skill, and a performance skill, whilst also learning about scales, chords, patterns, coordination, terminology and sheet music. We finish the lesson by working on the current song we are learning together. I encourage my students to choose their favourite songs. I allow for freedom in my lesson structure, as I love when students are inquizitive and want to explore something they are interested in for that week. I prefer to allow my students to be creative, whilst I create a strong foundation for them. Music Mentoring session (1hr): These sessions offer the same education as my basic sessions, with an additional focus on Psychology. Music Therapy has significant benefits in children, and I am passionate about natural remedies for mental and soul health, especially music. I do not currently offer 'Music Therapy' specifically, however I do offer my own mentoring sessions combined with exploring music. I have taught students as young as 5 years old, and adjust lessons to suit each students needs and abilities. I like to take a natural, calm, psychological and varied approach to music teaching, to use music in a way that benefits children's mental and soul health, giving them a healthy passionate outlet for their emotions. I spent many years as a volunteer Youth Leader, whilst also mentoring young people in a variety of ways throughout my life. I would love to offer myself as a reliable person that can bring music into your child's life whilst also offering a safe place to talk, feel supported, and to practically work together to bring joy and peace into your child's life.
